TABOR HILL
...of Mountains and Religion
There is, according to what I have read, a close connection between mountains and religions. If you read the Bible, mountains have been mentioned on countless times. And if you happened to climb a mountain, there is that kind of feeling being one with nature, being closer to the skies, even closer to God.
The other Saturday, I tried taking myself to the hills of Talamban because a friend of mine mentioned about this Tabor Hill. It actually was not hard to find because it was just a short distance from the main road where jeepneys take their routes.
Here are some of the photos I took when I visited the place.

Q PARK AND THE MARIAN HILL
THE CLIMB
Calmly nestled atop the hills of Compostela, Cebu is a 200-hectare complex project of the Quisumbing family and the NORKIS group. It is one perfect place for penitence and soul searching and a favorite among the devotees during the Lenten season.
This is where my wandering feet took me last weekend. It was not so sunny that day and the threat of rain was possible any time but it did not stop me from curiosity of the place. I took a multicab ride up to the town proper of Compostela and took another jeepney towards Danao because it is at the boundary of Compostela and Danao, and finally a habal2x ride towards the complex.
The place is indeed quiet and serene with hills surrounding the area. When we entered the complex, I opted to explore its chapel and the way up to the Marian hill. The climb, as I counted the stairs to the top of the hill was more than 250 steps. But the view at the top is worth the climb.

BOGART AND THE KALUNASAN WILDS
FINDING BOGART
Think of urban Cebu city. Can you imagine an enclosed wilds within its vicinity? That was what I found when I visited Kalunasan, a hilly place near the more popular Lahug and Beverly Hills in Cebu. It has in it the city's zoo.
At first, I was not quite excited of the place as what I saw were just the sights of a typical zoo. But when I went further down into the depths of the place, my interest perked up as it revealed its main attraction, BOGART.
Since it was close to sundown, I hurriedly explore more of the place as I took my exit towards the main gate. The view was just fascinating as darkness was about to sit in within an hour.
And I took my final pose, souvenir of the place, as if I am lost within its jungle. I was just having fun that day. :)
