BUAGSONG.. the morning after

                             MORNING SCENES AT BUAGSONG

Cordova is indeed a fisherman's haven.

Though I have witnessed the beauty of its sun that rests in the afternoons, yet I still felt this urge to be there as the sun rises.  That is why, a week after, I set foot on the same place again.  But this time, the scenes were even more worth capturing...

THE BUAGSONG SUNSET

BUAGSONG, CORDOVA, CEBU

Cordova is not only famous for its bakasi, but also with its sunset.  I have seen photos of the sun as it showly disappers in the horizon in this part of Cebu.  Much as I like to witness it myself that I wasted no time making my way through the Mactan channel and into the far end of the island just to have a glimpse of the sun as it sets.

CHASING THE CORDOVA SUN

DAY-AS, CORDOVA, CEBU

Saturday.

The sun shines brightly in the morning.  I can see the clear blue skies as I made my way out.  I planned to personally take a glimpse of the scenic Cordova sunset.  It was just a perfect day to make it happen. But just as the day hit noon, dark clouds have been visible in the horizon.  And the heavy rain followed.

But I still took my chances.  Pier 3 was my starting point as I crossed the Mactan channel to Opon.  It was already close to 5pm but the rain had not stopped.  Minutes later, only a drizzle was left. I immediately boarded a multicab bound to Cordova.  I really was not familiar with the place, but my instinct to explore it has guided me all throughout.

I may not have been able to watch the perfect scene as the sun sets but the views were just amazing...

BUKO BEACH

FEEL THE SOUTHERN BREEZE..

This was actually not part of the plan going to this place.  Right after I visited the Marian Hill at Simala, while I was riding the "habal-habal", I was able to put a good conversation with the driver that I was able to ask what beach can he suggest that is nearest to where I planned to have my drop off point. He mentioned this place, once a public beach, but now owned by a foreigner and was currently on its development stage.

This is Buko Beach, of Barangay Bagacay, Sibonga, Cebu. According to what I have heard, this will soon house the resort side of the beachfront and at the same time a residential area on the other side. I was just fortunate to have a glimpse of the place still possessing that cool southern feel...

SIMALA AND THE MARIAN HILL

... On sacred grounds

Upper Lindogon, Simala, Sibonga

This is the place of the miraculous Virgin Mary shrine in Cebu.  I have my personal experience of this sacred place when I set foot on its hills just last Monday.  Thousand of devotees flocked to this Marian Hill, bringing with them their faith and their personal petitions.

Here is my share of the story as shown in the pictures I took of the place.
